Customers and interested parties satisfaction is the personal responsibility and commitment of each employee. We strive to achieve a zero waste and zero defect approach all along CBI supply base together with our customers and suppliers in order to achieve this goal.

We develop global processes in accordance with requirements from international standards, laws and regulations, customers, as well as our knowledge and experience, which are the base of our quality. We ensure they are applied worldwide in an effective and efficient way.

We apply a risk management approach of problems with a quality mind-set that starts from product development phase. We ensure that adequate controls are in place and correctly managed to prevent any critical flow out.

To any found non-conformity, we systematically apply our standard problem solving approach to protect our customer and eliminate root cause sustainably. We learn from mistakes and apply best-practices and lessons-learned globally as the basis of our continuous improvement approach of quality.

We are aware that our actions should be attuned to the economy, to ecological considerations, and to the responsibility we bear for the community at large, including the well-being of future generations. For this reason, a respect for people’s health and safety, an economical use of resources, and the preservation of a natural and clean environment are the basic principles of our business policy.


It is the task of all associates to help prevent the endangering of people and the environment, as well as to maintain strict compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to work safety and the protection of people’s health and the environment. It is a leadership task to recognize such dangers, to evaluate them, and to undertake appropriate actions.


We develop and manufacture products that are safe, eco-friendly, and economical. Our products enhance people’s safety and reduce burdens to the environment, including during their subsequent recycling and disposal.

Five principles govern our approach to product safety:

Leadership commitment and accountability

Our leaders champion product safety and prioritise it so that safety-related tasks get the right attention, time and resources. We make accountability for product safety clear and ensure people understand the context and their accountabilities. We work with our customers, partners & suppliers to ensure that there is, at all times through the life of every product, accountability for its unintended effects on the safety of people.

Level of Product Safety

We design our products to achieve a high level of safety consistent with their application, striving to always meet or exceed the relevant customers, company, legal, regulatory and industry requirements. We seek to provide the highest level of safety for those who might be unintentionally harmed by the product, taking into account compatibility with the product’s required performance, cost and schedule and the way that it will be used. We assess what could go wrong and put appropriate controls in place to meet the required safety levels and reduce the safety risks as far as reasonably practicable.

Maintaining and improving product safety

We are committed to the continuous improvement of product safety and are actively engaged in applying industry standards and good practice. We measure our performance and rigorously investigate and resolve safety related issues, systematically embedding the learning from these back into our practices and processes. Everyone is encouraged to report a risk liable to impact the product safety.

Learning and Sharing Information:

Everyone who works in CBI shares responsibility for product safety. We are always mindful of the safety implications of our actions. Training is provided so that our people understand the CBI Product Safety Policy and Processes and can fulfil their collective and personal responsibility.

We work with our customers and suppliers through the life of each product to:

  • provide highly topical information on safety so that each customer can determine how the product is used and obtain information on the use and performance of the product to assess the consequences for safety
  • understand the causes of significant accidents and incidents involving our products, where appropriate with independent accident investigators, to reduce the probability of recurrence

Information Security Policy
